Your Story

Updated: Aug 27, 2023

The Bible consists of different stories. From these stories, we learn how God created the Heavens and the Earth, how Adam and Eve fell, how Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, how Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and how Jesus was born and died for our salvation. Through every story in the Bible, we learn not just who God is but we learn about the relationship he had with individuals like Abraham, Issac, Jacob and David.

Our lives are also a story that God has constructed. We each know God in different ways based on our experiences and encounters with him. In every experience, there is something God wanted to reveal about himself to you and draw you closer to him. When you look back on your life, who is God to you? Is God the God that healed you? Is God the God that restored you? Is God the God that vindicated you?

Our story is not just for us but also for other people. Through our story and experiences with God, we are able to encourage and give hope to people who are going through the same thing we once went through. When I read the story of how Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery by them, it inspires me to be able to forgive others that have betrayed me. When I read the story of how Moses parted the Red Sea and did many miracles in Egypt, I know that I can encounter the God of miracles in my life. When I read the story of how Paul, who persecuted Christians before coming to Christ, became one of the greatest apostles, I see how God can redeem and forgive me of the things I have done in my past and use me for his glory. Your story can also inspire others just as the many stories we have read in the Bible.

Your story is powerful and has the ability and power to influence, to inspire, and to increase the faith of other people. What has God done in your life? What is your testimony?

When we share our story, people will see how great the God is that we serve and that if he did it your life, he can do the same for other people in their life.

In Christ’s love,

Athelia
