Generational Patterns

One of the places that molded our thought life is our family. Our family played a pivotal part in forming and laying the foundation of who we are. Our family instilled beliefs, thoughts and patterns of behaviours to us. Within each of our families, there can be a set of destructive and harmful patterns that have been established and carried on. These patterns then become generational. If we do not examine, confront, and destroy these destructive patterns we have learned from our family, then our fate will the same as those before us. We will live in continual bondage and enslavement that will rob us of God’s will for our lives.

One decision can change the course of our life and the lives of future generations forever. Adam and Eve’s decision to eat the forbidden fruit caused the fall of man and allowed sin to enter into creation. Jesus chose to die on the cross for all so that any one that believes in him can receive salvation. The decision of Adam, Eve and Jesus can still be felt today.

You have the power to decide to break free from the patterns of destruction in your family and life or choose to continue to live in it. It only takes one person to change the trajectory of a generation. God wants you to to be the freedom in your family so you not only set yourself free but future generations. What you have been suffering from, can end, if you decide to confront and break free from those things. You can alter your own future by making that decision. What has enslaved your family, does not have to be your enslavement.

You can break free from the generational patterns in your bloodline. No matter what it is, there is nothing that God can not set you free from. Choose to allow God to work through and break the chains of suffering and limitation so that you don’t have to suffer the same fate that your family has suffered for generations. You can be the change to set others free.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Whatever it is that you need God’s deliverance and healing for, God will impart that to you and you can be free indeed. There is nothing that God can not do if you allow him to.
